Maya | Mineral Ridge pt. 2

This doll might look familiar. She graced our blog last summer with her first set of senior pictures. (check them out here.) Since she already did the pretty flowers and flowy dress, this time she wanted to change things up for a more urban inspired vibe.

Dave Grohl alley is personal favorite of mine because umm, Dave Grohl! The murals are super vibrant and the back alley gives off the perfect amount of edge. For those who haven’t been down there, that area is actually pretty awesome. The local art community and creative entrepreneurs have played a huge role in reviving the square.

So I learned that Maya will be studying abroad, in Japan, very soon. I cannot wait to vicariously live through her instagram. She is super creative and a talented videographer among a thousand other things!

This one screams editorial or 90s grunge cd cover and I absolutely love it!

We lightened things up quite a bit after leaving the alley. That’s one of the things I adore about this town. You can go from an urban grungy vibe to sweet, soft and pretty in less than a 2 minute drive.

There’s something about the greens in the early spring.

Look at that smile! Maya got her braces off the morning of her shoot. Talk about perfect timing.

Who knew there was a speakeasy in Youngstown, OH? I definitely didn’t. They were cool enough to let us play inside. Maya’s first (and only!) mugshot is perfection. Not to mention they have the cutest little reading nook and piano and props to play with.
