Sara | Class of 2020 | Heartland Christian

Sara’s session had such an authentic, relaxed vibe to it. She made a killer playlist for us to listen to or maybe she had it already. Either way, I’m pretty sure my creativity was thriving extra from the song selections. When I met up with Sara for her consult, I learned that she not all about the fluff. She’s drawn to genuine candids and simplicity.

When I ask what you’re looking for in a session most seniors talk about outfits or locations. But Sara describe the type of photography, composition, and lighting she’s drawn to that landed her on my instagram. It’s super flattering to work with someone who trusts you enough to make their vision come to life. It’s even more awesome when they share an interest in the technical side of things!

LOCATIONS

Sara’s Youngstown session gave so much variety to her photos. For the first outfit/location, I focused on city/greenery. I absolutely love the juxtaposition of nature within the city. The timelessness of Sara’s outfits were perfection. You can never go wrong with a classic black shirt and jeans, especially for city shots. I recently found my senior pictures and would say I did pretty good keeping two out of the three outfits timeless, but that third one.. Oh. My. Gosh.

THE RED DRESS

Red was definitely the color of the summer. And if you can’t tell by the amount of photos in that dress, it complimented Sara perfectly. My favorite photos from any session are the ones where your confidence kicks in. You look fabulous, you know your outfit is slaying, and the expression on your face shows that you’re owning the shoot.
