Warren JFK Senior David
This Warren JFK grad just shared some pretty incredible news so I thought it was only fitting that he got his turn to be featured. Congrats, David! Plus, I need to share way more guy sessions. I love them. I’m a total goofball in general and during sessions with boys, it seems I have more permission to be a weirdo!! It’s worse with young children, the weirdo part, because they really don’t judge yet and their laughs are encouraging. *digression*
Back to David! Who plays soccer for Warren JFK so that’s where we started! Waiting for the sun to cooperate with me midday on an open soccer field, we were able to chat about life and careers and his super sweet girlfriend. Pro tip: when you need to capture the perfect grin and smiling eyes, bring up the girlfriend.
Admittedly, I know very little about soccer. And by very little I mean one thing. Don’t use your hands. So I told David to do his thing. Capturing someone authentically is allowing them the freedom to move and show emotion as they see fit. Telling an athlete that during their senior pictures they get to play rather than pose doesn’t hurt either.
Did I mention he was captain?!
As it turns out David works for the cutest restaurant. The back patio area looks like it could be in a gardening magazine or something. The owners were kind enough to allow us to take a few photos back there during their off hours.
McKinley Library is staple in Trumbull County for picture taking. Students go there for prom pictures, wedding parties go there for portraits, and in the fall it is surrounded with couples getting engagement photos. Since David had a suit for his final look, I knew it would be the perfect spot. Classic and timeless.
