Mariah’s fashion-forward senior session will go down as one of my all time favorites! I was looking forward to her shoot all summer. She wanted to do something different, but also something that represented her personality best. Chagrin was the perfect spot! Somehow I’d never been there before and thought she meant a totally different spot. The town was the absolute cutest! When I got there to scout locations, it was clear why Mariah chose it.
In typical Mariah fashion, she brought her entourage to the shoot! She’s such a sweetheart, I can totally see why everyone gravitates to her. They were all awesome and helped put her at ease, so I could document all the laughs. The second outfit was something I would’ve never thought to put together and it worked so effortlessly! It was this perfect mixture of classy and chic and trendy.
This waterfall had a mind of its own. One week, it’s barely flowing and the next, it’s flooding all the rocks. We totally made it work despite that. Notice the heel on Mariah’s boots? Did not even stop her from climbing slippery, wet rocks to get the area where we could shoot! And it wouldn’t be an adventure if I didn’t leave with a battle wound!
We ended the session with a quick photo inside my favorite ice cream shop, Jeni’s. They have THE best flavors. Try the honey lavender. Seriously.
I’m so happy Mariah joined us this year on the Ashley Nicolle Ambassador team! Her fasion-forward vibe was the best. I hope the experience was a highlight among your year!
