Our first Ashley Nicolle group shoot (or ANP Team 18 shoot) is in the books!! We had such a great time running around downtown Youngstown. It’s one of my favorite spots in our city to highlight. There are so many hidden nooks and alleyways that provide just the right edge and urban look for city shots.
As I mentioned in the last post, I have some amazing girls on the team this year! The ANP teamwore the new Ashley Nicolle tanks for this shoot and were asked to dressed them up however they wanted. Authenticity is key for me and the ANP brand so I asked that they bring a few options and layers and allow me to capture them as they are- no fake lashes, airbrushed makeup, styling- just THEM. When I tell you that they absolutely killed it, I’m not exaggerating at all.
First up is Liz. Her style is super reminiscent of mine in the 90s and I have was having a serious moment when I saw her. Not to mention, she pulls it off SO much better than I ever did.
Next up is Becca. I already knew from Becca’s social media posts that she was going to be the sweetheart of the group. Her positivity is contagious and I adore that about her. Expect to see lots more of that smile this summer!
Introducing Marleah, the girl who’s style I currently wish I had and often try to pretend I have. I didn’t shut up about her jacket for the whole shoot …but I’m digressing. I may have also referred to her (one of the sweetest, most kind girls) as gangster in the the most endearing way possible! They will all grow to understand my language.
Next up is Cara. I quickly learned that unlike Becca, Cara hates to smile. So I have to catch her smiling mid-moment which I love because those are the real authentic smiles anyways. I also learned that she’s a born leader which is a quality I really admire!
Last up is Sarah (with an h) just like my childhood bestie, which I feel like gives her an extra edge! The sun was stingy on the day of our shoot but it popped out just in time for Sarah’s turn and she got to experience all the weird faces and hand gestures I make while compromising with the sun during our shoots. It’s a love-hate battle but my favorite sessions happen with a setting sun!
This wall is one of the many gems in downtown that gives off a completely different vibe than you’d expect out of Youngstown.
Wehad so much fun during this shoot! The combo of outfits they brought with downtown Youngstown’s urban feelmade for a more edgy vibe to this video but overall Chandler did an awesome job and we loved having her help out for the day!
